As we prepare to enter into a new season, many face a mix of hope and uncertainty. Some celebrate new beginnings, while others endure difficult seasons. In this time, a powerful message stands out—a promise from God that does not guarantee an easy path but assures His constant presence. This promise comes from Isaiah 43:1–2:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you,
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.”
This passage offers more than comfort. It provides a firm foundation for the journey ahead.

A Promise of Presence, Not Absence of Trouble
God’s word does not say if we face difficulties but when. This distinction matters deeply. Life will bring challenges, losses and moments of testing in the 'New Season'. Yet, the promise is clear: God will be with us through every trial.
This presence is not temporary or conditional. It does not depend on how we feel or what we achieve. Instead, it is rooted in God’s unchanging nature and His faithful word. Knowing this helps us face uncertainty with courage.
“I Have Called You by Name”
The message for this year is deeply personal. God reminds us that we are known and claimed by Him. When He says, “You are mine,” it means we belong to a loving Father who watches over us.
This ownership brings protection and a covenant relationship. Whatever challenges arise, we are not alone or forgotten. We walk forward as children held securely by God’s hand.
Trusting God in Every Circumstance
The call is to trust God fully, no matter the situation. This trust looks different depending on what we face:
Trust when prayers are answered quickly
Trust when answers take time
Trust in moments of joy
Trust in times of grief
Trust when the path is clear
Trust when confusion surrounds us
Trust does not mean we will understand everything. It means relying on God’s presence and promises even when the road is hard or unclear.
Practical Ways to Embrace God’s Presence
Living with the assurance of God’s presence requires intentional steps:
Daily prayer and reflection: Start each day by inviting God’s guidance and peace.
Meditate on Scripture: Focus on verses like Isaiah 43:1–2 to anchor your faith.
Community support: Surround yourself with others who encourage trust in God.
Journaling: Write about your experiences and how you see God working in your life.
Acts of kindness: Serving others can remind us of God’s love in action.
These practices help us stay connected to God’s promise, especially when life feels overwhelming.

Moving Forward with Confidence
The promise in Isaiah 43:1–2 is a powerful reminder that new seasons will bring challenges, but God’s presence will never leave us. This truth invites us to face the future with confidence, knowing we are not alone.
Whatever your situation, hold on to this promise. Let it shape your thoughts, actions and prayers. Trust that God calls you by name and walks with you through every river and fire.
